Modern Times Dinosaur World Can Release
Modern Times Dinosaur World was recently announced as their latest can release. This Double IPA is the second can release for Modern Times in 2017.
According to Modern Times, this beer is “brewed and dry-hopped with staggering volumes of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops and fermented with London III yeast, this beast is a miraculous explosion of tropical delights, with notes of passion fruit, tangerine, and stone fruit leaping from its hazy depths to ensnare both the drinker’s palate and heart. We’ll announce more on the sale timeline soon. For now, feast your eyes on this unbelievably saucy can design.”
We just received a shipment of these extremely attractive new cans, soon to be filled with Dinosaur World, the hazy, explosively tropical wonder that is our first canned double IPA. Chock-full of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops and fermented with London III yeast, it’s a jaw-dropping detonation of passion fruit, tangerine, and stone fruit flavors and aromas that will change you fundamentally as a person. There is no official date on when the cans will be available for public sale other than that they will go on sale sometime in February. Based off of previous can releases, we’re sure there will be other barrel aged stouts or sours that will go along with this release. We’ll update this post as more information is announced. We’re looking forward to getting our hands on these in the next couple weeks.

Our 1st-ever hazy DIPA is a thunderous avalanche of hop-sorcery that’s going to crash into your taste buds like a 100-megaton payload of pure pleasure. Boatloads of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops and fermentation with London III yeast came together to make this beer a tropical marvel, with outrageously tasty notes of passion fruit, tangerine, and stone fruit that will ensnare both your palate and your heart.
HAUNTED STARS AGED IN RYE WHISKEY BARRELS W/ COCOA & VANILLA
Haunted Stars is a rye imperial porter rocking a chewy, chocolaty, spicy malt character that coats the mouth and warms the cockles. It starts off rich and full-bodied, with a velveteen texture and creamy dark chocolate flavor, and finishes with a lingering rye spiciness and pleasing earthiness. We aged this batch in spicy, gloriously fragrant rye whiskey barrels with vanilla and cocoa nibs, yielding a swirling maelstrom of delicious complexity that’s going to light up your pleasure synapses like a thousand-watt Lite Brite.
For Nautilus Harbour, we set aside a few barrels of our white wine barrel-aged sour saison and stuffed each one with 50 pounds of local, heirloom plums. After months of mingling in the barrel, the resulting beer is a powerful & complex fruited sour beer with loads of plum aroma and flavor. Fermentation begins with our house Lomaland yeast culture and is then followed with a secondary fermentation by an alarmingly diverse array of sour & funky cultures.
FUNKY FRUITLANDS W/ APRICOT
Fruitlands has now firmly established itself within our lineup as both a bastion of unparalleled crushability and as a beer that lends itself extremely graciously to experimentation, hence this little gem. We upgraded this latest iteration of our beloved fruited gose to a penthouse suite in Flavor Tower by fermenting the kettle-soured wort with our house Brett strains and dialing the apricot addition up to 11. The resulting beer is a rollicking cascade of funky, fruity refreshment that rolls down the taste buds like your own personal second-line parade.
