Nibs and Beans Speedway Stout

Alesmith Brewing recently announced a new variation of their popular Speedway Stout, which has become one of the beers that they are best known for. Nibs and Beans Speedway Stout was originally released during their annual 3-day Speedway Grand Prix event which “features vanilla beans from Madagascar and Papua New Guinea, cocoa nibs from Brazil and Madagascar, and locally roasted Colombian coffee from Swell Coffee Co. This beer balances the aromatic quality of the vanilla beans, the nuttiness of the cocoa nibs, and the earthy, fruity notes of the coffee with the roasty, chocolatey flavors of our Imperial Stout.”

Nibs and Beans Speedway Stout will be released on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11am PST via Eventbrite. You’ll be able to purchase up to 4 (four) 750ml bottles and will cost $26.08 per bottle(including taxes and fees).

Also available for sale during this release is Barrel-Aged Wee Heavy, which is their barrel-aged version Scotch-style ale. This beer “is matured in premium bourbon barrels for an extended period of time to add layers of complexity to its rich, malty flavor profile.” There are notes of vanilla, oak, and bourbon from the barrels which combine with the beer’s profile of caramel and toffee to make this an utterly unique beer.
