San Diego Beer Week 2016

Every year, San Diego Beer Week brings together the county’s best craft breweries to celebrate all things craft beer in epic fashion, and San Diego Beer Week 2016 promises to be no exception. At the time of writing, this year’s Beer Week is still over a month away on November 4th-13th, and that means there’s plenty of time to plan which events to attend.

San Diego Brewers Guild Festival 2016

San Diego Brewers Guild Festival 2016

The San Diego Brewers Guild Festival, or Guild Fest as it’s also referred to, is one of our favorite Beer Week events every year. Guild Fest is a special event for a few reasons. First, it is the official kickoff event of Beer Week, featuring beer from a number of San Diego’s most celebrated and up-and-coming breweries. Another reason that Guild Fest has a special place in our hearts is that it’s one of the few events run by the San Diego Brewers Guild, with a number of the actual brewers in attendance.

This year’s Brewers Guild Festival features samples from more than 60 San Diego County breweries, and raises funds for local charities as well as the San Diego Brewers Guild. Buy tickets and learn more about the Guild Fest on the event page on the Beer Week website – Learn More about San Diego Brewers Guild Fest.

The Lost Abbey Barrel Night

This year’s Lost Abbey Barrel Night will happen November 5th, the second day of San Diego Beer Week. Barrel Night is a special occasion featuring bottles of the year’s second release of Lost Abbey’s rare Veritas fruited sour as well as 6 single barrel beer samples paired with a 6 course meal Philip Esteban from The Cork and Craft.

Tickets for The Lost Abbey Barrel Night 2016 go on sale Thursday, October 6th as announced by Lost Abbey on Instagram. The cost for each ticket will be $200, which will include the 6 samples and 6 course meal alongside 3 bottles of Veritas 018. This event is extremely limited, with only 175 tickets available.

Beer Garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines

The second San Diego Brewer’s Guild sponsored event, and the closing event of San Diego Beer Week 2016, is the Beer Garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Every year this event brings together some of San Diego’s most exciting breweries and chefs to end Beer Week right. This year’s Beer Garden will feature 28 breweries and 14 chefs, in a unique beer and food pairing.

The Beer Garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines will take place Sun Nov 13, 2016 from 12pm-3pm at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Tickets for the Beer Garden are on the SD Beer week website.

There’s also other great events to check out during San Diego Beer Week, including a trio from Stone: Stone’s Rare Beer Breakfast, Craft Beer and Cheese Pairing Festival, and their Ultimate Beer and Cigar Dinner. See all the events at the San Diego Beer Week website events page.
